COMMUNITY AND TERRITORY

Together, in the Heart of the Iblean Sicily

Our open community

Open community to the territory - Baglio San Michele

At Baglio San Michele we believe that a true community is not born only from the houses we live in, but also and above all from the bonds we choose to weave every day. Here, among the ancient walls of the farmhouse and the fertile fields of the contrada, we want to build something alive and generative.

We do not imagine a community closed in on itself, but a place that welcomes and allows itself to be enriched by the people, stories and knowledge of those who live around us.

Periodic Feasts of the Baglio and the Territory

Periodic Feasts

Throughout the year, the courtyard of the Baglio transforms into the beating heart of feasts linked to the rhythm of the land and the Christian calendar. The Feast of San Michele, harvest celebrations, Christmas and other occasions dear to Sicilian tradition become opportunities to be together.

Enogastronomic Encounters “Memory and Flavors of the Iblean Land”

Enogastronomic Encounters

Once a month, especially on spring and summer evenings, we open the doors of the Baglio for evenings of enogastronomic sharing with traditional Sicilian recipes prepared with ingredients from the Baglio and local producers.

Summer Concerts in the Courtyard

Summer Concerts

On summer evenings the historic courtyard of the Baglio fills with music. A few selected concerts of great beauty and simplicity: traditional Iblean music, acoustic instruments, small ensembles of musicians from the area.

Courses of Memory and Knowledge of the Territory

Courses of Memory and Knowledge

One of the most precious aspects of this openness is the exchange of knowledge. Courses and meetings in which the inhabitants of the territory — elderly people, artisans, farmers, keepers of memory — teach the residents of the Baglio.

An invitation to be part of this community

These initiatives arise from the sincere desire not to live isolated, but to be a living part of a territory that still has so much to give and receive.

Here we are not only looking for inhabitants: we are looking for fellow travelers, ready to weave together a community that is truly a home for everyone.
